Your personal information

Privacy policy

How Visa Canada Rouge collects, uses, protects and retains your personal information, and how to exercise your rights.

1. Who is responsible for your information

Visa Canada Rouge is responsible for the personal information it collects and holds. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the firm's founder, Moadh Rahmaoui. For any question or request about your information:

  • Email: info@visacanadarouge.com
  • Address: 760 Crémazie Blvd West, Suite 7, Montréal, Québec H3N 1A1

2. The information we collect

When you book a consultation

Your name, email address, phone number, the time slot you choose and the information you enter in the booking form. When a payment is required, it is processed by the online booking provider or its payment processor.

When you write to us or call us

The information you choose to share with us by phone, email or messaging.

When you hire us for a file

The information your immigration process requires: identity, passport, civil status, family, education, work experience, language test results, financial situation and, depending on the program, medical or criminal record information. This information is sensitive: we only collect it when your process requires it, and with your express consent.

When you visit the website

Like any website, our host receives technical connection data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) needed for the site to work securely. The site does not use any audience measurement or targeted advertising tools.

3. Why we use it

  • To schedule and hold your consultation, and follow up afterwards
  • To assess your eligibility and prepare, submit and follow your file when you hire us
  • To communicate with you about your process
  • To meet our legal and professional obligations, including to the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants
  • To keep the website secure and working properly

We don't use your information for other purposes without your consent, and we never sell it.

4. Your consent

We ask for your consent for each specific purpose, in plain language. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge. Withdrawing it may, however, prevent us from continuing a mandate in progress; if so, we'll explain the consequences.

5. Who we share it with

Authorities, with your mandate

When you hire us for a file, we send the required information to the authorities involved in your process: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Québec's Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI), Employment and Social Development Canada or the Immigration and Refugee Board.

Our service providers

We use providers who process some information on our behalf, only for the service provided: website hosting (Netlify), online booking and payment (LeadConnector), website fonts (Google Fonts, which receives visitors' IP addresses), messaging (WhatsApp, when you choose it), as well as our email and document management tools.

Transfers outside Québec

Some of these providers may store information outside Québec, including in the United States. Any communication of information outside Québec is carried out in accordance with the requirements of applicable law.

We never share your information with third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Visa Canada Rouge website does not set any audience measurement, advertising or profiling cookies. The booking calendar, provided by a third party, is embedded in the consultation page and may use its own cookies needed for booking and payment. If we ever added a technology that can identify you, locate you or build a profile, it would be turned off by default and you could choose to turn it on.

7. Retention and destruction

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, then for the period required by our legal, tax and professional obligations. After that, it is securely destroyed or anonymized.

8. Security

We take reasonable security measures suited to the sensitivity of the information, including limiting access to the people who need it to handle your file. The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Since no transmission over the Internet is perfectly secure, please don't send sensitive documents through unsecured channels without checking with us first.

9. Your rights

By writing to the person in charge, you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous
  • Withdraw your consent to its use or disclosure
  • Ask us to stop disseminating information about you or to de-index any hyperlink attached to your name, under the conditions provided by law
  • Receive the information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format, or have it sent to a person you designate

We respond to your request in writing within 30 days of receiving it. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it.

10. Complaints

If you believe your information was not handled properly, please write first to the person in charge: we'll review your complaint and respond in writing. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

11. Confidentiality incidents

In the event of unauthorized access, use or disclosure, or loss of personal information, we promptly take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of harm. If the incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page, and any significant change is announced on the website.
